"It's all in the mind!"
Alyssa aka DJ Starshine is currently a third year at SAIC in the BFA w/ emphasis in Writing Program. Although she enjoys listening to all types of music, one of her favorite genres is classic rock which is the primary focus of her show. Alyssa's hobbies include; writing, buying and listening to cheap records, drinking tea, going to sweet shows, reading and other nerdy things as well as macking on cute boys and having a min-fro.
The name 'DJ Starshine' finds its origins in the musical Hair as it is one of Alyssa's preferred movies to remember her past life as a hippie. She loves infinity.

DJ Tangerine, aka Andrea, is the other half of DJ Starshine's brain, thus is it only natural that they do a show together. Roommate MT nicknamed her DJ Tanner, and tells everyone she gives a shout out to her dear dad, Bob Saget.

She also enjoys classic rock, especially crazy hippie dancing to it on grass or other generic plants. This is her first semester at SAIC after transferring from Columbia College a few blocks south and she is loving it :). As of now, painting and fibers and paper arts will most likely be her concentration. You can find her wearing long skirts and knitting various things around campus- as well as DJing with Starshine for their 2 hour extravaganza every Thursday night from 9-10 EST!
