I don't like one genre enough to stick with it. I will say that I tend to favor indepedent label music and that a lot of the music I play can be described as dancy. I'm not a House dj (sorry Chicago). Nor do I only play electronic music. I'm mostly concerned with finding music that other people enjoy and music that will resonate past its time. So while, I might play some stuff that is trendy, I'm playing stuff that I really love, and/or am feeling at the time. I might throw on some Duke Ellington. I might throw on Justice. I might play Green Velvet. I might play Kanye. I might play Silver Mt. Zion. Madonna. Chocking Victim. Black Sheep. Whatever feels appropriate. Selectively choosing music based off of the things you request, the things you will request, and the things you should request. Just check it out. Because I could write an entire book about the music I know and love, and it would have no relevance to you if you never heard it.
